The Flint Hills Regional Council was awarded grant funding through the Economic Development Administration (EDA) Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to create a Regional Economic Recovery and Resiliency Plan.
COVID-19 has severely impacted the Flint Hills Region, and the road to recovery is anticipated to be long and hard. Our approach to recovery must be both holistic and practical.
As a region, we must take strategic steps to prevent a future spike as much as able, prepare and be ready should another spike in cases occur to reduce the impact, and work to stabilize the economy at all levels.
