Unique Hiram has been serving as the Administrative/HR Manager for the Flint Hills Regional Council since February 2011. She has been instrumental in the creation and management of the council's office operating procedures that include accounting, budgeting, grant administration, human resources, and purchasing. She is responsible for managing the $380,000 FHRC annual budget (federal and nonfederal funds), while supporting the growth of the organization through a variety of roles.
Additionally, she is instrumental in the accounting, bookkeeping, and reconciliation process for the FHMPO, FHRTA, EDA and other contracts where the FHRC has been identified as the fiscal agent for these entities managing federal and state funding totaling over $1.9 million.
Unique is a 21-year retired Navy veteran and earned a Master of Science in Human Resource Management. She currently serves as a District Director for the Kansas Society of Human Resource Management (KSSHRM) State Council. Previously, she served two years as the Chapter President for Human Resource Management Network (HRMN) of Manhattan.
